Homemade Fries in the Oven
Whether you're a farmer or a fan, it's easy to get behind these simple homemade fries when you have a craving you need to satisfy.
Equipment
- Santoku Knife or apple slicer
Ingredients
- 3 lbs potatoes 5 or 6 medium to large potatoes, cut into wedges
- ¼ cup extra-virgin olive oil
- 2 tablespoon dried parsley
- 2 teaspoon fine sea salt
- 2 teaspoon paprika
- 2 teaspoon onion powder
- 2 teaspoon garlic powder
- ½ teaspoon fresh black pepper
Instructions
- Slice the Potatoes: Wash your hands with soap and water. Preheat the oven to 425 degrees Fahrenheit. Cut the potatoes into wedges using a knife or apple slicer. Transfer them to a large bowl.
- Combine the Potatoes with the Other Ingredients: Measure the oil using a measuring cup and add it to the bowl. Then, use measuring spoons to add the remaining ingredients to the bowl. Toss the ingredients to coat evenly.
- Transfer the Seasoned Potatoes to a Sheet Pan: Transfer the seasoned potatoes to a sheet pan or two. Place them in the oven.
- Bake for 30 to 40 Minutes: Bake the potato wedges for 30 to 40 minutes. They should be browned and crispy on the edges when finished. Flip them one time while they're cooking for the best results. Turn off the oven.
